Matrox KVM Extenders

Multi-Monitor KVM Functionality at a Distance

Matrox KVM extenders separate keyboard, video, mouse, audio, and USB devices from workstations, and enable users to work remotely on systems without compromising performance. Industry-leading extension technology centralizes systems within server rooms, increasing security, protecting equipment against environmental hazards, and reducing system noise and heat emissions from the user environment. Matrox KVM solutions offer best-in-class resolution and multi-monitor support for either point-to-point or over IP deployments. Start driving KVM connections now.

Product Families

Now shipping! Matrox Extio 3 IP KVM extenders

deliver 4K60 4:4:4 (3840x2160 @60Hz) over standard Gigabit Ethernet network (fiber optic or copper) at unprecedented low bitrates.

Extio 3 works as either a point-to-point or networked KVM extender, and creates a scalable and cost-effective KVM matrix switching environment using standard Gigabit networks switches.

Matrox Avio KVM extenders

offer 2K (2560x1600 @60Hz) and dual 1920x1200 @60Hz DVI display support.

Uncompressed, zero-latency, fiber-optic signal extension reaches up to 10 km (6.2 mi) from the host system. Plug and play deployment requires no software installation.

Matrox Extio KVM extenders

provide quad display support for up to four 2K (2560x1600 @60Hz) displays.

Easily combine multiple Extio units to extend as many as 16 screens from a single-system. Zero-latency, fiber-optic signal extension reaches distances up to 1 km (3,280 ft).

Industry Testimonials

"The stability, distance—using very little cabling—multi-display support, and image quality provided with Matrox Extio products were key determining factors in our decision to incorporate this technology […]. The unique Matrox Extio feature set has helped us to offer such a comprehensive productivity-enhancing solution to our customers."
— Per Lundmark, ABB

"Matrox multi-display graphics hardware has been used in Siemens SIMATIC HMI systems for years. The reliability, image quality, multi-display configuration options—not to mention the long product life cycles—of Matrox products make them key building blocks for Siemens systems. Extio [remote graphics units] are excellent options for customers looking to power the user interface components […] without a penalty to image quality or performance."
— Mauro Cerea, Siemens

"Matrox Extio products work very well with Honeywell control systems […]. Since graphics, audio, and USB hardware is integrated into the Extio device itself, graphics performance at 800 ft is as fluid as it would be if the displays were powered directly by an add-in card in a computer only a couple of feet away under the desk."
 — Dennis Kodimer, Honeywell

"Working off a higher-resolution setup makes it easier for the audio engineers to see small changes [and] greatly improves workflow and efficiency. We highly recommend Avio to other stations that are looking to upgrade or install KVM solutions for their own audio production facilities as it is a truly worthwhile investment."
