If you've never used a computer with more than one monitor, you may wonder why someone would want to use many displays at one time. Quite simply, when you can see what you're working on, you're more productive and will likely make fewer errors. Once you start using multiple monitors, you'll never go back to a single display.

Matrox products support multiple monitor setups—dual, triple, quad, and beyond—so adding displays is as easy as connecting additional monitors.
If you already have a card that supports multiple monitors in your system, to add a display in Microsoft® Windows:
Right-click the desktop background
Select Properties > Settings
Click "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor"
If your system doesn't have an extra monitor connector but does have available expansion slots, you can add multiple monitor support by inserting one or more graphics cards.
To add support for an extra monitor without adding or replacing a graphics card, you can use Matrox Graphics eXpansion Modules (GXMs)—small, external boxes that connect to the monitor connector of your computer and divide the signal for two or three separate monitors. GXMs use your system's existing graphics hardware, and are ideal for adding extra displays to closed, already validated systems or to computers with no available expansion slots. Similarly, the stand-alone Matrox QuadHead2Go multi-monitor controllers allow you to drive up to four Full HD displays from a single video signal.
